Church in Homes
Our church is NOT closed; just our buildings. We are working on the frontlines of this crisis to connect and care for people. Our Life Groups are meeting on Zoom (or phone calls) and open for new people to join. Next Generation ministries are continuing to reach out and grow faith. Care packages have been made for Kids and Youth, and they will be delivered next for seniors. And hundreds of phone calls have been made. The church is not the building or the meetings; the church is the PEOPLE. God is still at work!
This weekend and every weekend, make the time to worship Jesus and be part of our worship service. Invite others to watch as well; now is the perfect time to draw closer to Jesus. The service will be uploaded by Saturday afternoon each week. Find a time to watch, and keep (or make) weekend worship a weekly habit for life.

Nothing can stop Easter. Our service is still on—online that is! You can watch our Easter service at home in your pajamas or your favorite Easter outfit. Either way, make the time to catch this service! It will be filled with God’s hope, and God’s hope is different than the world gives. His hope is based on His character, not wishful thinking or happy sentiments. God’s hope is 100% genuine, and there are no substitutes. Join us for Easter 2020, which will be unlike any before! And invite others: Easter is the perfect time for new people to hear the hope of Jesus!
Good Friday Service
Covenant Grove likes to make our “extra” services (like Good Friday) a little different. We will be doing the same thing this year. We will record different segments of the sermon at different locations, teaching through the Passion of the Messiah (Mark 15). Communion will be part of this service as well—and we are asking people to have bread and (if possible) some juice available so they can take communion at home. Good Friday is one of the holiest days of the year, and we want to encourage everyone to make the time to make this day reflective, personal, and focused on the sacrifice of Jesus. Good Friday is on April 10.
Stay Connected and Caring
We are created to be connected, and talking to others is vital to our spiritual and mental health. During this time of fear and distancing, it is so important to stay connected. We have GROUPS for adults, youth, and young adults meeting during the week online, on the phone, and through video conferencing. We have daily devotions on our Instagram and Facebook pages. And we are starting a new system called The Caring Tree to contact people throughout the week. This especially important for those who are seniors or shut in. We care about you!

New Devotional: Paul’s Prison Letters
You may not know this, but the apostle Paul experienced “lockdown.” He was unjustly arrested for proclaiming the love of Christ. He didn’t complain, though. He made the most of his time, writing four important letters: Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon. These books are full of wisdom and joy—yes joy! As you read through these books, remember that they were written in lockdown, and let yourself be challenged to elevate your actions and attitude. Jesus changes everything in us, and He is still at work.

The Gospel of Mark: Son Arise
For the last three months, we have been walking with Jesus through the Gospel of Mark. It has been incredible, and we are getting close to the end. We will wrap up on Easter Sunday, talking about the resurrection of Jesus! This Sunday we will be reading Mark 14, which covers the Last Supper, the agonizing prayer of Jesus, and the betrayal of the Lord by His friend. We will be talking about living out the will of God—even when it means sacrifice. Each chapter has important lessons for our lives. Make sure you watch the video this weekend for worship!
