In 2009, a group of 44 people were sent out from Modesto Covenant Church to start a new church in northeast Modesto. This was the middle of the Recession, and it was a leap of faith! Our goal was to reach people who had left church, or never attended, but were looking for God. We met at Enochs High School for five years, growing to over 175 people coming every Sunday. Lives were being transformed by Jesus, people were getting support in community, and we were serving at home and around the world.
In 2015, the Lord sent us on the move again. We moved to Orchard Elementary School, but it was only for a few months because the Holy Spirit opened a door for us to purchase our current property. It was a leap of faith—but God is faithful! The faith of our people grew, and more people came to faith as we opened our doors for worship. We grew to two services, then three, with almost 400 people coming every week. The Lord continued to transform lives. We were doing almost 50 service projects in the community every year. And we followed the Lord to begin the Building Hope Capital Initiative, with the goals to expand our facilities, plant a new church, and give to missions.
The pandemic brought many changes, but our mission remained the same. Our church continues to see lives transformed by Jesus. We are focused on getting people closer to Christ, connected with other believers, and living out God’s mission. In 2020 we met in person, online, outside, and then in a big tent in our church parking lot. Through it all, God grew our trust in Him, and new people joined our church in this time. God is still on the move!
Looking forward, we will continue to live out the same mission of Christ to make disciples, seeing lives transformed by the Holy Spirit. Our hope is to plant a church in 2021 and begin construction on expanded facilities in 2022. We will continue to serve both globally and locally. We are a community of faith; every week and every day we support each other, reach out in love, and live fully devoted to Jesus.
I am so glad you are at our website, and I would love to have you join us on a Sunday morning. We meet at 9:00 & 11:00am each week. The teaching is relevant. The worship is energetic. The people are authentic and friendly. Your kids will love it. Our Sunday gatherings reflect our heart to lead people into a life changing and growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
We invite you to check us out and have a great time with our church. As we say, “This ain’t your mama’s church!” It is life changing, and a blast – really!

Bible-centered and relevant preaching
You won’t fall asleep during these sermons! We want to invite people to a true relationship with Jesus Christ, and to challenge them to grow deeper and share that relationship with others. You’ll think, laugh, and be inspired to live what you learn.
Passionate, exciting and honest worship
Our church wants to have fun and truly worship Jesus with our worship experiences – and to make all of life an act of worship. We will worship God through music, creative arts, and even media. Our worship is a place for broken people to find hope in Christ.
Excellent ministry for Kids, Youth, and College/Career
We care about the next generation! Our children and students will learn the Bible, be called to live a personal faith, and have a lot of fun! Yes our church is fun! No more parents dragging kids to church – the kids might just be dragging the parents!
Supportive and encouraging Life Groups
Our church loves people! Our Life Groups are places where you can grow and serve in connection with others, where you can be yourself, care for others, goof around, and go deep. And we eat together a lot, too!
Opportunities to use your God-given gifts to make a difference
You are gifted! God is calling us to serve in the church and in the world – crossing our comfort zones, impacting lives, sharing the good news of Jesus and working for God’s Kingdom and justice.
