Are you having a good day? This week I have talked to quite a few people who have just not been having a good day, or week, or month! You know what has been amazing, though? They have not let this bad day ruin their outlook or perspective. I have had people in my office this week who have clearly been crying earlier in the day, but they are not overreacting, blaming God, or losing heart – they are focused and have hope. They know the sun will shine tomorrow.
One of the prayers I constantly have for our church people is that we will be people who are strong in Christ – for the pain and trouble that the world promises to bring. I feel sorrow for the pain that my church family is going through, but I am so proud of them for the strength they are finding in Christ.
There are a lot of great things coming up for our church – God’s Special Kids Camp and Vacation Bible School are coming up – great opportunities for our kids to grow, and our teens and adults to grow as we serve the Lord. Our last Membership Class is coming at the end of the month, and I am traveling to Detroit for the last step before our charter membership. Our Youth and College ministries are kicking off midweek meetings and heading on a Beach trip on Friday. We have more ministry time and space at the Bridge, and summer interns, and incredible people, and growing faith, and more and more. God is so good, and it is so good to be on this adventure with all of you.
Whether this is a good or hard day for you, know that you are not alone. You are so, so loved by Jesus, and He will never leave you.
Thanks I just needed to hear that! all things will always work out in God’s time.
