Our first Sunday of Three Services was amazing! When I reflect on this first Sunday, I can’t help but think of this verse:
Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen. Ephesians 3:20-21 NIV
How did Three Services go? God did WAY more than we could ask or imagine! Our normal average on Sunday has been around 300 people. Last Sunday, we had 404 people at church! There are some people attending more than one service and being counted twice, but still this means there are a lot of new people who came to church last Sunday. It’s as if the Lord said, “Great, you finally opened up more room. I have a whole bunch of new people I want to send your way!” The 8:00am service was packed, which was a surprise! We had a lot of new people, which was amazing. Most of all, there was an incredible feeling in the room that we are part of something amazing that God is doing.
Launching Three Services was a huge venture of prayer, and God’s power is moving through our church. Lives are being transformed and people are making bigger steps of devotion for Christ. God is growing our church family because we are focused on His truth and hope. It is not about us. Even though it is not about us, Jesus is changing our lives!
Last Sunday, the sermon was about Emmanuel – God with us. There were so many people that told me that God spoke to them through His word, through the worship, through the people – and it was exactly what they needed. One man told me that he had a really rough week, and he needed church to fill him back up. One woman told me that God was repeating the same message to her, and the sermon was a confirmation that God is with her. God is growing His hope in people’s lives. We added an entire new service, and the Lord continues to bring people who need to be filled up with His hope and love.

Your prayers and participation make such a huge difference. Even if you read this and don’t live in the Modesto area, your prayers make an impact. Thank you. So many people have prayed, and stepped up, and reached out. The growth in our church is not about the pastor or staff; it is the power of God through His praying, devoted people.
Keep praying, keep serving, keep inviting, and keep sharing His hope. This is such an amazing adventure. I can’t wait to see where God leads us next!
