Open up, ancient gates! Open up, ancient doors, and let the King of glory enter.
Who is the King of glory? The Lord of Heaven’s Armies—He is the King of glory.
We had our first services – and they were amazing. They weren’t amazing because my sermon was so amazing or our decorations were so great or anything like that – they were amazing because GOD is AMAZING. It was a time to celebrate the King. It was all about Him – and all He has done over the last 6 years to start a church, impact our community, and transform lives.
Psalm 24 is crying out to the ancient doors to be opened up – so that the King of glory could enter in. We opened up our doors and invited the Lord of love to enter in His glory. He did! Sunday was a celebration, with over 300 people in attendance (including many visiting to give us support and wish us well), and we continue to pray that His light will shine. We are praying that lives will be changed and hearts will be open. His light is strong and will challenge people to change their selfishness and understand the power of serving and forgiving. His light is gentle and will heal hurts and pain that life has brought us. His light drives away the darkness and gives us strength. Let His light shine!
Next Sunday we will have two more services – and we are again inviting the King to enter in. We will gather to worship Him, hear His Word, commit to obey, connect with each other, serve, sing, pray for each other, listen, and eat! We are praying for the church (that’s us) to have the doors of our hearts opened up to stay on His mission – all week long. We want to – each day – stay in His Word and stay obedient and stay by His side – and shine His light. May we pray and work for His Kingdom come. Let light shine through us!
Our lives need His light. Our world needs His light. His light changes lives. Let light shine!
