As I shared earlier in the week, this last Sunday I was invited to Big Valley Grace Community Church to share on stage for a couple of minutes about Covenant Grove Church. Hannah and I were on stage Saturday night and twice on Sunday morning. This was a great time to share the vision of our church, what God is doing, and our heart to reach the lost in Modesto. It was also a great time to raise up prayer support!
The church was very welcoming, and it was a great time. I am thankful for the leadership of the church at Big Valley to open their doors to others churches (and Pastor Mark gave the sermon each service), I am so thankful for the unity we have in Christ. Our Kids Ministry also had some people go and check out the Kids Min at Big Valley, and their Kids Ministry people were so accommodating and encouraging!
Finally, I got to speak to the seniors class, and share more of the story of our church, and the absolute importance of prayer. I got to share for 40 minutes, and answer questions. In this time, I made a pointed appeal for prayer, and asked people to consider putting us on their daily prayer lists. Over 5 people said they would! Many more said they would pray for Covenant Grove.
That means — be on the look out this week for God to do some incredible things. Prayer is POWERFUL.
