Wow – the Grand Opening was amazing!! Over 400 people showed up for the services and the fun. We even had to do overflow seating for the second service! God was at work – big time – in people’s lives. A lot of great conversations happened – about life, God, doubts, church, fun, and faith. Some people were just there to check out our church or to wish us well. A lot of people were there because they have been looking for a church home – a place to live out faith in community. The Grand Opening is done, but the opening isn’t over – this is just the beginning.
God wants to reach people, to invite them into a closer walk with Jesus. This walk is challenging, affirming, and will change your whole life as you are filled up with His hope and surrounded by His love. God is challenging every person, all the time, to take a step closer to Jesus. What is amazing about the Grand Opening is that so many people had to work so hard and obey the Lord to make the event happen – that was their step closer to Christ. One man even told me a week ago that God told him to pay for the extra chairs we were going to need. I didn’t know we would need extra chairs – but God did – and He was right! This man was faithful, and it made a big difference. This faithfulness needs to continue – because the opening isn’t over.
God is still working on hearts, and challenging us to continuing serving and working hard – so that the world may know His love.
The opening isn’t over. Keep praying, every day. Keep serving, it is not in vain. Stay close to Him, as He teaches you how to fish.
