There is a lot that has been written about spiritual gifts in the New Testament. These are not the same as natural talents, but gifts that a Christian receives from God when they become a Christian. These gifts are given to help support and strengthen the church.
In Exodus 31, a man is said to be filled with the Spirit of God in craftsmanship. This is a HUGE statement, and from the second book in the Bible proof that God is already hinting at what He will do in the New Testament. It also lets us know that creativity is not something we invited – it is part of the very nature of God – and part of us. Science can tell us why the colors turn red and orange as the sun goes down, but it can’t tell us why we stop in wonder, or want to paint a picture, or tell others about it. There is art and creativity and wonder – and these are things from God.
Find that creativity inside of yourself, and use it to express yourself to the Lord, the Creator of all.
