James again talks about the source of our actions – where do our good or bad actions come from?
Selfishness and ambition cause all sorts of problems in our lives. God’s wisdom – when it is our source – overflows in our lives into love, caring, and compassion.
That happens when we spend time everyday with Jesus. It happens when we depend on Him to give us what we need – sharing our thoughts and feelings and frustrations. It happens when we look to Him for our ultimate meaning – not any job, task, person, or possession. When Jesus is truly the most important person in our lives, and the One to whom we talk to most, everything changes – and we don’t need people the same way – we can care for others because Christ has cared for us.
