This psalm tells the story of one of the worst days in the history of Israel – the day the rebelled against God in the desert, and were judged to have to die in the desert. This story is told in Numbers, then repeated here, then told again in the book of Hebrews. The psalm makes the simple plea: don’t rebel against God, no matter how hard life is, no matter how big the challenge ahead of you is. God is able to defeat giants! The psalm is a call to worship and prayer – a call to bow our lives down before God. That means not going our own way, but truly worshipping Jesus every day of the week through our choices and conversations. Every minute for Jesus.
