Revelation is a book of worship – and chapter 4 describes the throne room in heaven. God is beautiful and brilliant – surrounded by an emerald glow. He is surrounded by 24 elders who worship Him, and 4 “living beings” that constantly worship the Lord.
The throne room is a place of unending worship – because that is what God deserves. He has created all things, and they – including us – were made for His pleasure and glory. He is holy, and He always is, and always will be. This is who God is. God made us to worship and honor Him – this is not an ego trip for God, any more than it is for a parent to be loved by a child. Worship and glory is what God deserves. The Lord is the One to whom all fame belongs, not us, the created beings.
We are made to worship, and we can find a fulfillment when we worship Him – every day, with every single breath.
