I’ve been listening to a song on the radio that sings, “Everything will be alright. The whole world’s in His hands. In the darkness and the trials, He’s faithful and He is true. The whole world’s in His hands.”
The lyrics to this song hold a special place in my heart. Several years ago I went through one of the hardest moments of my life. I lost my twin babies due to a miscarriage. While I was lying in bed and recovering, I had a vision of my two babies in heaven while the lyrics “He’s got the itty bitty babies in His hands” were being sung. I was immediately filled with peace and knew beyond a doubt that it was a gift from God.
I had grown up singing these lyrics in Sunday School and while I taught in preschool. I knew this song well, and yet, I did not realize the depth of these words until I heard them from God. He offered this to me to comfort me and remind me of how deeply He loves me.
When I heard the song, with those lyrics, playing on the radio recently, I was reminded of who God is and how He loves me. Even though it makes me think about the sad moments, I am also filled with the joy and peace that God brings. He comforts me and cares for me through the darkness and the trials in my life. He is always faithful and always true.
God loves us so much that He sent His own son to die for us. He feels our pain deeply and desires to comfort us, encourage us, support us, strengthen us, and save us. He created this beautiful world and desires for us to be with Him in eternity. He loves us and holds us all in His hands.
Psalms 95:4-7 “He holds in his hands the depths of the earth and the mightiest mountains. The sea belongs to him, for he made it. His hands formed the dry land, too. Come, let us worship and bow down. Let us kneel before the Lord our maker, for he is our God. We are the people he watches over, the flock under his care.”
