We Have a Church App!
My eyes are just getting to that point where I can’t hold anything too close. My kids, friends, and even my parents all get a good chuckle when this happens to me. I haven’t quite gotten to stretching out my hands to read a book, but I know that day will come for me. As the world changes, I am changing too, and I am doing my best to keep up with the changes while staying true to my mission to help others have a life-changing relationship with Jesus.
Some changes are good, and along those lines our church is launching our first ever church App. We are really excited about this! Jill and the Media Team have worked very hard on the App. Our staff and leaders have been testing the App for the last few weeks, and now we are ready to launch this to everyone.
There are so many reasons why an App is a helpful tool. I will share three here:
Easier to use. Apps tend to be easier to use, especially for those who are a little “technologically challenged.” We intentionally asked a few (self-identified) “tech-zero” people to test our App, and they told us how great the experience was. Also, while our website is primarily designed for people who are new or outside our church, the App is aimed at people who are connected to our church. This allows us to get the most helpful information up front. This leads to the next point.
Features at your fingertips. From the front page of the App, you can sign up for Events, listen to sermons (including video and audio), watch the livestream of the service, fill out your Connect Card, and give your offering. There is also a Social feed that shows all notifications as well as what we are posting on Facebook and Instagram.
Important notifications. Many people have told us that they never see our social media posts, but they want to. Social media algorithms tend to remove any posts you do not like or share. With our App, we can directly notify you of events, sermons, daily devotions, and more. You always have the option of turning off some or all of these notifications. The people who have tested our App have told us how much they enjoy having these notifications to help them stay connected and encouraged in their walk with God.
To install the Covenant Grove Church App, go to your mobile app store (Apple or Google), search for “Tithely” and download. When the download is complete, search for Covenant Grove to connect to us! Thank you for your support as we live the mission to help everyone know the love of Jesus.
