Ash Wednesday is the beginning of the 40-day period (excluding Sundays) leading up to Easter. These next 40 days are an opportunity for us to closely examine ourselves. Not harsh and self-critical, but as a willingness to understand our own woundedness, turn from our destructive ways, and draw near to our Savior. What is standing in the way of our walk with our Savior and Lord? What blockages are impeding our way?
