READ 1 THESSALONIANS 1-3
Sometimes it is great to read bigger chunks of Scripture to get a bigger picture and see some bigger themes. The next three devotions will do just that. It is amazing to see the strong faith of the Thessalonian believers. They heard the gospel message and believed. They welcomed Paul, Silas, and Timothy and showed them great love. They were willing to suffer and follow Paul’s example of working hard and living for the approval of God only. They were ready for the coming of Christ, and they could live confidently.
Knowing Jesus changes everything, and these believers in Thessalonica had experienced His love. Remember the passion of your first love for Jesus, the fire of when you first fully gave your heart to Him. Grow, learn more, and mature in your faith – but don’t lose the passion of your first love.
