Mark’s Gospel leaves us at the empty tomb with fear, uncertainty, and one big question: What happens next? Jesus is already going ahead, inviting His followers to meet Him there—to love whom He loves and join Him in His mission. Sometimes that mission takes us across the world. Sometimes the world has come across the street. As refugees rebuild their lives right here in Modesto, we have opportunities to offer friendship, hospitality, and the love of Christ. Where is Jesus inviting you to take a next step? Who might He be calling you to welcome?
