What if the people Jesus chooses to change the world are the ones everyone else has already passed over? In first-century culture, only the best of the best were invited to follow a rabbi. Everyone else was sent home, and yet those are exactly the people Jesus called! If you have ever felt like you are not qualified, not impressive enough, or not far enough along, take another look at the people Jesus chose. A life that matters is not built on achievement or approval, but on following Jesus UP toward God, IN with community, and OUT to bless the world. That is the life you were made for!
